10 Common Bird Pets

1.     CanariesCanaries are one of the easiest birds to have as a pet.  They are very small and do not require a large amount of attention do to their solitary nature.

5.     FinchesFinches are best suited for those who want to love birds from afar.  They get along great with their species and have a beautiful song, but aren’t always keen on too much human interaction.

7.     MacawsMacaws may be loud, but they are very social birds that love human interaction.  The birds also seem to have a great sense of humor and like to play tricks on their owners.
8.     ParakeetsThese birds are very easy to care for and easy to accommodate in most homes.  A big perk of these birds is their ability to learn how to talk and mimic words and phrases, so watch what you say around your Parakeet!
9.     ParrotletsParrotlets are small Parrots.  They are quiet birds and great for people living in apartments.  They are also able to repeat simple words and phrases similar to Parakeets.
10. ParrotsParrots are a great pet if you are looking for a social creature to keep around your home.  Be aware, however, that the noise level in your home will significantly increase with a Parrot around.
